Unusual trees.

Visiting the park in Newcastle, I came across these most unusual trees that appeared so out of place in these gardens.
They reminded me of something "out of Africa" with their branches and date like fruit.
I was told that the heavy and low branches made them an excellent site for the children on which to climb.
