Reindeer

The herders made the most of the glorious weather today to bring the reindeer down from the high Cairngorms to the glen to practise pulling Santa's sleigh! It takes from now until December to train enough to fulfil all their commitments across Britain, or, if their are any children reading this, around the world!
It was such a lovely hot and sunny day after yesterday but there was plenty of flooding in evidence.
I was excited to see Black darter and Common Hawker Dragonflies mating and laying still and a few Small Tortoiseshell butterflies, pretty late in the year.
