Grazalema

Exploring inland today, we journeyed out to Grazalema a beautiful whitewashed town nestled in the mountains. We enjoyed lunch in the dappled shade of the busy square before having a wander round the quieter narrow streets.

Gary told us about a windy but picturesque road over to Zahara where we stopped for an ice cream at the bar of Al Lago, overlooking the turquoise reservoir. The road was well worth the drive with large drops and big vistas but I’m glad it wasn’t my turn to drive!

There is much exploring on foot to be done and we must hunt out a map for the area before we come out next time.

After dousing the sheets and me in deet, I went to bed only to wake up with a new bite on my eyelid! Now double dosing on anti-histamine. Last count 23.

I don’t like killing anything. However, after searching for a couple of days, I have to confess to today hunting the bedroom dwelling mosquito down.
