Admiral Butterfly
I went for a walk to a lookout with friends this morning but it was so foggy you couldn´t see anything in the distance. It still made a nice photo with the autumn leaves in the foreground but when we came down the hill we came upon a profusion of asters teeming with Admiral butterflies. I have never seen so many before and I had no close up lens or macro converters with me. It was so windy, however, I don´t think they would have been successful. So a quick snap and I had my blip. I hope to try again soon, properly armed.
PS - rat has just pointed out that this one is a Peacock butterfly. Most of the others were Admirals.
