Life with Alice

Autumn Girl

A long forest hike today. Between light showers, the sun managed to shine through the clouds. I am getting better and better at the "climb every mountain, ford every stream" kind of hiking we do when following a compass direction through the forest. Sometimes mum carries me still, but I bet I could manage if she would just let me try.

Mum has gotten high visibility vests for us both, a reflective collar for me and a tiny blinking lamp that she tried to get me to wear. No way, I said, go blink somewhere else. We agreed on a compromise, putting it on my lead. Because it is getting dark, I have to admit that.
