Stoking the fire

When the dark evenings set in, the weather turns colder and it's raining hard outside, I do want to be warm and cosy inside the house. So it's a bit of a disaster when the central heating fails. In the circumstances, I am glad that we retained an open fireplace in our living room.

Ah, the smell of a smoky room!

Hopefully the heating will have been repaired by tomorrow evening.
