An Early Start
I am writing this while sitting on our patio in Zihuatanejo reflecting on our trip home. As usual the day started before sunrise with a shuttle ride to the airport. Not as smooth as the past couple of tips in the early morning hours, the traffic was horrendous on I-405, but it doesn't make a lot of difference when you are not sitting in the driver's seat. I shot a similar photo to this almost exactly two years ago and it is interesting to how much better my photography has gotten (or perhaps it is the technology in the camera). This one is better composed (fewer black blobs) and is more recognizable. I obviously picked a better spot to take it. Once at the airport, it was very smooth - no lines at check-in, early boarding because we had checked most of our bags, and a quick pass through immigration and customs (we fortunately got the green light and didn't have to have our seven bags searched) when we reached Mexican soil. A short ride later and we were home until the next trip.
