Botanics lecture

A morning in Glasgow followed by as meeting with Jonathan Sher from the Wave Trust rounded off (after some meetings and work) with a lecture in the Royal Botanic Gardens.

The talk was by Prof Bill Whyte from Edinburgh University marking the 40th anniversary of "Circle", social work in partnerships with communities. "Circle" often support families at children's hearings. The talk was reflecting on the role and organisation of social work, what influenced behaviours and practice, and how the personalisation agenda is developing. Do we need a social education/ pedagogy approach?

On the way into the lecture theatre we passed some cabinets with some interesting specimens!
