A new visitor

I immediately spotted the Heron when I got off the bus on the way home after my morning shift at work. It was the first time I'd seen one in the area since we moved there. For once though, I had not taken a camera with me because we were forecast some very wet weather. It did eventually rain but not until much later in the day. Fortunately I still had some shopping to do so I went up to our apartment as fast as I could, grabbed a shopping bag and my keys to the bicycle storage area and went off out again. It must have been my lucky day because, as I'd been hoping, the Heron was still there when I got back to where I'd seen it. I was only able to to take just one photo of it before it flew off but luckily it was a good one.
