Autumn Colors

In southern California, this is as close as we get to fall foliage. This is a liquid amber tree, which is one of the few that produces spectacular color in our climate area. It is not quite at its peak yet, but the impossibly blue sky was so pretty! The colors will deepen further, and these trees tend to hold their leaves for a fairly long period of time. Autumn was my favorite season growing up in the midwest, and these glimpses bring back precious memories of raking leaves and jumping in the huge piles with all of the neighborhood children.
