On a clear day..

..you can see....

Looked good today, and the forecast was for dry in the NW highlands. So, time to get out the knapsack sprayer, and spray of some of those weeds that got away from me this year. Glyphosate was the weapon of choice, and not your silly little bottles that you get from Garden Centers, ready mixed, and cost a fortune. I get a 5 litre container from the agricultural merchant that contains 360 g/l of glyphosate. The same as farmers use, and I've passed all the tests and am qualified to use it.

With all the protective clothing, mixed up the first batch, and started on the pea and bean ground. Had to make up another mix to complete it, and did around the raspberry canes, and around a few exposed boulders on the way down the croft. Another mix did some patches around the cabbage patch, and on the the roots plot that I topped earlier in the year to stop the weeds from seeding. Needed another mix to finish this bit, and just as I'd poured the concentrate into the tank, the heavens opened. Hopefully the first areas will have dried a bit, but it may have all washed off. We'll see in a few weeks time. I sheltered in A's shed while it was raining, and for quarter of an hour afterwards to give the leaf chance to dry a bit, and then sprayed out the final mix on the root weeds. The sprayer was washed out, with the washings going on a patch of rushes. It may knock them back a bit too!!

Back up to the house, and put everything back into storage, before going back in the house for a good wash.

Had another little shower after, so may have wasted my time totally. We'll see..

Music..

I quite landscapes in portrait format (but they don't fit Blip too well).

7 more views, and my pictures have been viewed 75,000 times. I thank you all for looking. That means a lot..
