Planted

A day of sunshine and showers, some very heavy at times. In the sunny periods I have planted two new grapevines, one is called Strawberry and produces red grapes, the other is called Phoenix, which we thought appropriate, since the builder destroyed our original one and it ended up on their bonfire; this one will produce green grapes. I also planted two Hellebores, sorted out the front window boxes and planted up two new front tubs all ready for winter. Then I tidied up a very small border as well as doing other bits and pieces and getting the garden ready for winter.

Today’s picture is of one of the tubs, it does not look very good yet, but once the Polyanthus plants are established and the bulbs appear they should look okay. The section in the middle is deliberately left empty so that plants do not hinder the bulbs when they come through.
