Sometimes you've just gotta try
A good friend was staying at ours tonight ahead of a BMC conference tomorrow - he's not managed much climbing in the last couple of years - between a bad accident on Ama Dablam, work & well life we couldn't remember the last time we'd hit the rock.
The forecast for Wednesday wasn't good - but it was the day we had - so bags packed we set off early as the forecast said what little dry there was likely to be in the morning.
Getting to Borrowdale it was damp - but doable - nothing difficult - just a big Lakes Classic to blow away some cobwebs. The first couple of pitches were running - but I was happy to lead up those & let A. get his mojo working before starting to be at the sharp end again. By the time we got to the traverse, as can be seen in today's Blip, he was well & truly back into the swing of things - happy to lean back on his gear & put his trust into the systems again.
we managed to climb around a couple of parties - and were just crossing the road back to our car by 3pm when the forecast rain arrived, all in all, result.
