A visitor today

Got a bucket full of apples fresh from the tree yesterday, and spent most of the day looking over recipes and baking. But the pictures I made of the resulting apple cake so far are all a bit below par (unsteady hands, maybe I was too eager to taste it). I've picked up the inlay soles to support my heels, but they don't look very suitable for a picture. Wearing them now, even at home in the evening (normally I'd take off my shoes as soon as I get home) in the hope that the pain will subside very soon.
This morning this jay hopped along in the garden for a while, so a jay it is :-)
