a bit o' culture

we went to the opening of the last exhibition of aberdeen art gallery in it's current form. they have been given millions of pounds of funding to refurbish and upgrade - starting next april. the exhibition, below another sky, is by a group of artists from australia, canada, pakistan and scotland using the five main print studios across scotland - inverness, aberdeen, dundee, edinburgh and glasgow. some of the prints were great, it was a nice evening - we laughed at folk speaking shite, admired some prints, missed the point of others and drank wine. my favourite print was blast by janice kerbel - a typographic relief print. I would have that on my wall. always great to be in the art gallery...I'll miss it when it's closed for two years.
