Great Blue Heron (with Duck Feet)

My usual bike route to the Willamette River takes me through a corner of the University of Oregon campus.

The U of O heron sculpture has become a friend of mine in the last two years.

I was tickled to see someone has provided him with “duck feet”.

The University of Oregon athletic teams are the “Ducks”, so the heron doesn’t mind a bit showing school spirit.

I enjoyed a very picturesque bike ride as the fall foliage is beginning to develop quite nicely in some areas of town.
