A brief encounter

Today at the coast was even more grey than yesterday, the clouds just never lifted. A few miles inland was all sunny though. I walked miles on the beach, encountering hardly no one. I did beach cleanup, picking up mostly bits and pieces of plastic. Oregon's ocean beaches are all publicly owned. A couple times a year an official "beach clean up" is held; volunteers then scour the beaches for any sort of thrash. I like to to do it whenever. This heron stayed put just long enough for me to get a shot.
