Some people have described this 22 million pound tower structure as downright ugly but when you get to the top of this latest London attraction in Olympic Park the view from the observation platform is stunning and as you walk down the stairs you get an interesting close up view of the observation tower. There are also some interesting 'soundscapes ' as you walk down the spiral walkway ( the audio recordings vary from the construction of the AreclorMittal Orbit to sounds of an underground station ). The Observation Tower had been bulit as an 'Olympic Tower ' for the London Olympic Games 2012. The structure was designed by Anish Kapoor with Cecil Balmond.
