Oxford: Look Who I Found!
Eeee, it's the "Oxford Gosling" in large ("L") or small.
It is now well and truly the "Oxford Goose", but that name doesn't seem right...
It was such an amazing thrill to find it: it is still mooching around with its parents, although the father and mother don't seem to be on speaking terms and the father tries to chase the mother away from the "gosling" (who is happy to follow or graze with either parent). What a funny lot...
It was easy to identify it with certainty (other than from its character, parents, and still smaller sub-adult size) by the distinctive spot on its neck (visible as a gosling, as a fledgling, and today) and other non-white markings.
I've uploaded several other shots (right from here), because, well, Oxford Gosling...
Highlights:
Still supercute
Scratching (adorably)
Father: "Ta daaaa"
A very Oxford Goose (with Magdalen tower in the background)
