Hello Again!

I'm back from my trip down south to visit mother-in-law and will be catching up on all your blips for the past week (although I won't be able to comment on all of them!)

It was a reassuring trip, especially for my husband, as he has been able to see that his Mum is doing okay although she has her ups and downs. In common with many 90 year olds, she is losing some of her faculties (sight/hearing/mobility), but she still has all her marbles and a good sense of humour:-)

We were able to take her out for short drives and for lunches and she enjoyed our stay partly because it varied her daily routine. The weather was mixed, but mainly dry and sunny.

Hiring a car was a new experience for us and rather nerve-wracking, as it turned out to be a brand new model, so we were much more careful with it than if it had been our own! We'd also forgotten just how busy the roads are in the south and it was a huge relief to get back to the quieter byways of rural Perthshire.

No time to search for a blip today, so these are some pretty stripey flowers which have survived while we were away:-)
