The Sun Has Got His Hat On
Friday is cycling day even without my oppo CoffeePotter who has decamped to Keswick for a few days.
The sun, like me, isn't too keen on early rising these chilly autumn mornings, so when I went out he was still reclining propped up on one elbow, sloshing buckets of golden light at everything he could see, making long shadows and allowing the under bellies of the hedgerows to snooze a little longer in the inky shade.
I did a well worn circuit I've done lots of times and have threatened C/P with at some stage, but being on my own there was no couth lunch or crafty coffee stop. I saw this lovely old rusty harrow in a gateway.
I had to crop out my own shadow, hence the tree has ended up in the middle, breaking all the laws of composition. Never mind, I must try harder next time.
