Clouds over the Salisbury Plains

We're overnighting at a Travel Lodge about 40 mins' drive from Dover. 5.00a.m. start tomorrow morning to catch the early ferry to Calais ready to drive to Germany. Our journey so far has been (mostly) better than we expected as we drove thru sunshine and blue skies with these huge fluffy white clouds.

Eventually, as we hit the home counties the traffic slowed down considerably and, like the literary pathetic fallacy, the rain arrived at the same time. Still, we're here now, having a tasty picnic in our room and sipping wine to get us in holiday mood.

Germany here we come!
