Night of Lights

D had an Eid party at school today. He went dressed as a knight, with his sword and shield and tin full of buns we made last night to share with the class. They've had a great day - though he's still none the wiser as to what Eid is or why they were celebrating!

Then, after school, we went to check out the Night of Lights in Bury. Lots of street food, walkabout entertainment, music, dancing, drumming, and beautiful light projections on the castle armoury. We shared some churros and a hot chocolate before heading home, and both zonked out in the car.
