I replaced the halogen bulbs in our light fitting in the bathroom with LED variants in an effort to reduce running costs of our house. The kids know how to turn the bathroom lights on but, although it is exactly the same process, i.e. pull the string, they don’t seem able to turn them off.

The problem is, as can be seen from the photo, each of the bulbs contains 20 LEDs, which creates a strange effect as 4 x 20 LEDs provides eighty sources of light. Who cares, at a mere 11% of the power, I can suffer a bit of a strange lighting effect, and strange is not the same as bad.
