Ruth Swan

This is Glasgow-based jeweller and artist, Ruth Swan..
She's one very stylish lady...
In between dropping off and picking up my son and his pal at badminton, I jumped into By Distinction gallery on Byres Road which was holding a special event highlighting Ruth's jewellery.
Her work is quite stunning. It's not just jewellery. Every piece if like a small artwork. Ruth is a graduate of drawing and painting from Glasgow School of Art and it shows. She has an innate feel for the tiny details; shape, texture and form in her jewellery.
Ruth's going to be in the gallery this Sunday afternoon from 2pm-4pm.
