The Corner Shop
The Corner Shop is an art exhibition by Lucy Sparrow - she hand made about 4,000 items out of felt and created a 'corner shop'. It's now on display in Brighton until 25th October when the shop will be closing it's doors for good. The funny thing is that I passed it on Tuesday which was the day it first opened in Brighton, and as I walked past I thought to myself that I didn't know there was a shop there lol!
Anyway, I went to see it at lunch time with my friend and colleague Petra, and it's amazing! You can read about it here and I've posted some other photos on Flickr.. All the items are for sale, but it's not cheap! A small bag of Cheddars is £30......
The weather tonight has been the worst it's been - we met Karen & Andy in Rottingdean for one last dinner before they head home tomorrow, and it started raining very heavily just as we were about to leave. We've had thunder, lightening and flash floods! It was terrible in Rottingdean and as we got to the crossroads it was practically flooded, and people were having to stack stand bags up against their doors as the water level was so high!
Anyway, despite being wet, we all had a lovely night and a great meal! We'll be sorry to see them leave.
Wel, it's finally the weekend, and I hope you all have a good one!
