An Artist's Life

Fire Waters

Trees lining the Bitterroot River have seemingly burst into flame. Where the water is still, the river burns, too, as the trees stretch their images across the water. A walk tonight found a broad, sandy beach empty. This scene just had to be shared with smiles up and down the stretch, but no one came. Just we three, SiBonz, M and I whooped up a joyful, "Thank you!" to the makers of such color.

(The Salishan stories speak of small creatures coming through the night with red berry paint...so we do, too)
