Gateway Vineyard
One minute the landscape is in the shade of the hills to the east. And then the sun peeps over the crest of the hills and starts to fill the landscape with sunlight. The trees along the bottom of the Taylor Dam in the distance are the first to be tipped with sunlight…. There was a slight frost again this morning so the sun, as it warmed the earth was welcome.
Margaret has returned to Wellington today. She had collected our grand-daughter Emily from Nelson on Thursday so the last couple of days have been more relaxed. Keith and Emily enjoyed a game of scrabble with chocolate tiles last night.
Thanks to Margaret’s hard work and motivating action the house is transformed in part…indoors anyway. The only problem is Keith and I can’t find anything. We are on a promise not to clutter again …. (for the moment) The former surgery wing is cluttered though… with bins and bins and bins of stuff that may be put into storage for a few weeks. The property will be going up for tender later this month so we are looking at prospective houses for the future. It is exhausting emotionally - I am tired and not yet into any sort of excited state. We will be keeping our “noses to the grindstone” over the next few weeks …… clearing one drawer at a time….one day at a time.
