Edinburgh is my heaven...
After my lazy day yesterday, I was looking forward to my breakfast this morning. I had haggis for the third time this week and am doing most of today's write up while watching Jeremy Vile and letting my breakfast settle down. I have no idea what I am doing next!
Anyway, it's now 24 hours later and I am late posting yesterday's blip!
I spent much of the rest of the day walking. It was bright and clear so I trundled out to take pictures in Newhaven Harbour and from there wandered around the backs of the flats which sit along the water's edge. I can dream, can't I? It was up to Ocean Terminal after that where I did my impression of Worzel Gummidge - possibly not much in appearance - having a cup of tea and slice of cake. It was still lovely and bright so I walked most of the way back to town, only giving up for the last bit up the hill.
A young lad was pointing out Arthur's Seat to his nan who was from Northern Ireland. He claimed that you could watch the Hibs (Hibernian F.C.) matches from up there for free as long as you have binoculars.
Remind me not to ask a Hearts (Heart of Midlothian F.C.) fan if that's true! The lovely ruggedly handsome chap I did ask later while testing out my new umbrella in Princes Street Gardens mercifully didn't appear to mind much though..
From there was a quick rush back home before meeting Lesley, Siobhan and Duncan at Jeremiah's Taproom. Unfortunately, David could not attend but made his presence felt by posting a picture of his latest curry creation on Facebook. I'm sure it tasted like something from Masterchef but put me in mind of something from Casualty! (Sorry!) Anyway, we had a lovely evening and my face is aching from laughing today.
Track? Another repeat but I dedicate this one to heavenly people on a heavenly day in my heavenly Edinburgh at almost the end of a heavenly trip - Stairway To Heaven
