Thomas Wolsey

Thomas Wolsey born in Ipswich 1440 or 1441, Cardinal, Loed Chancellor and educationalist.

Hi parents Robert & Joan Wulcy lived in St Mary Elms parish. Robert was a tavern keeper & butcher and appears regularly at the Leet Court charged with failing to exhibit the skins of the beasts he slaughtered on the Cornhill.

Today I am in Ipswich exhibiting at the Ipswich Family History fair and am lucky enough to have a stand right next to this bust of Thomas.
