...gave an outdoor concert on the lawn of Government House to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the formation of the Newfoundland Women's Patriotic Association. This association, led by Lady Davidson, wife of then Governor of Newfoundland, made and sent clothes and comforts to the soldiers fighting in the First World War.
