Reasons to be cheerful

11 October - three years to the day since Jamie's operation to remove and reconstruct his bladder following five years of cancer treatment.

A glad-to-be-alive, counting blessings sort of day. He spent today relearning to scuba dive.

We'll open a bottle of champagne tonight and toast his surgeon, the team at Guy's and our families.

Sally and I, meanwhile, skipped off to meet our new friend Shaaamie. What a lovely bloke, what a nice day. I love Blip.
