Future Reading

Shopping trip to Manchester this morning. I always head into Waterstones at some point, and bought these. Really enjoyed Alan Johnson's memoir of his childhood "This Boy", so the follow up is a must: as he is using Beatle's songs for his titles, it will be interesting to see what comes next. And Alan Bennet's anthology of 6 poets was just too tempting.
It was "super Thursday" this week, apparently the most important date in the publishing calendar for booksellers. May good bookshops survive and thrive - I enjoy the feel of a good book, a kindle would not do it for me.
