one day in France

Bramleys

Our local apple farm has a row of Bramleys, which were planted because a friend of ours baked an apple crumble and the owner's wife was impressed. Now, they no longer pick and sell the Bramleys as most French don't know what they are for, so they are left to fall and rot on the ground.
The friend who made the crumble is always invited to pick what she wants, so four of us went picking today. In fifteen minutes I had filled four bags, so I dropped one off with my neighbour, and I have all these to deal with now. Anyone who visits in the next few months will be given apple pie, crumble, cake etc
p.s.The nose you can see is Millie's, just having a little sniff!
