Shefford Annual Fair

In 1312 a Royal Charter granted to Shefford the right to hold an annual fair.This was held at Michaelmas each year but in recent years has been held as a street fair on the eleventh of October.
If the fair does not come one year it cannot come again
I have never seen so many rides and stalls as this year.
10 years ago to the day (I remember it easily because it was fair day) I went fishing and ended up in hospital for 12 days having to have my ball joint in my shoulder replaced, I always blame it on the big fish I never caught.
