Hungry for Justice Day of Action.

Workers who make the huge profits for fast food corporations are frequently on low wages and not told about their rights. Often they are on zero hours contracts.

A group of my friends, including call centre workers who are on appalling 'contracts', organised a demo in Norwich today as part of this Day of Action to highlight the prevalance of these dodgy work practices and to raise awareness of the importance of joining a union so that they can then fight together for decent pay, secure contracts and respect.

The demo took place on the Haymarket, where a branch of McDonalds is located. Oh look! there's a flyer about this very issue inside the window of McD's!

Before the demo I spent a happy couple of hours at the Magdalen Street Celebration and this evening I shall be busy doing nothing.
