Room at the top

of *count them* 74 steps - my hotel room in Edinburgh was in the attic, with a "glorious view of Leith in the distance". So no spontaneous excursions, bag triple checked before closing the door - if something was left behind I did without. It was very conveniently in close walking distance to the centre of town, although all the hills surprised me as the guidebooks never mentioned such!!
