J. and E.'s Fabulous Fall Day

There are days that I'd give 5 stars if there was such a thing.
Like today. We hiked through the Kalamazoo Nature Center, enjoyed the colours and the cool weather (first hard frost early this morning) petted snakes, talked to the volunteers, sat in the sun at the river, held hands, stood on Raptor Ridge, talked to a volunteer again about conservation, and then talked to a beekeeper - with about a 1000 of honey bees in attendance. It was fab. All of it.
Then we took the long way to Gene the Pumpkinman and found a Heron in a cornfield. And cows. We didn't find Gene (he was probably at lunch), but we did buy pumpkins.
I played with ALL the Percys once home, made pizza, had ice cream and watched Who.

I'm hoping to wake up tomorrow and have it be today again.
