Massage on the beach
Today was our last day on the island of Phu Quoc and it was a beautiful beach day. Chilled for most of it and Andy had a massage from one of the girls on the beach. And she's not wearing the face mask because he smells ... loads of the women here wear them, mainly when driving mopeds or walking around town because there is so much traffic the pollution must be horrendous. Some of them seem to have just got in the habit of wearing them all the time though ... not sure why she really needed it on the beach! They take them on and off so its not to hide their faces. Its probably also to protect them from the sun. The ladies wear tights, hats, long sleeves and sometimes gloves during the day. When buying moisturiser we have found Nivea "Whitening" rather than bronzing as its fashionable to be pale skinned. They must think we are all bonkers tanning away on the beach.
The massage wasn't as good as the one the other day in the spa but you get what you pay for ... about £2.90 for this one!
Off to Hanoi tomorrow morning all rested and ready for a change of scenery.
