Harvest Festival

Harvest Festival at church this morning. The floral and altar displays were wonderful and I liked the way the colours from the stained glass window were showing on the carpet.

Most produce donated was in the form of canned and packet goods which will be taken to the Mary Thompson Fund in Middlesbrough.

The Mary Thompson Fund is a hardship fund responding to the critical and emergency needs of those who are seeking sanctuary or are settled refugees in the Tees Valley.

The charity has provided a number of services in the past but due to a lack of funds they are focusing on food packages for those that are without any support, The Mary Thompson Fund relies on the generous support of individuals and groups in the area. All the work at MTF is carried out by volunteers.
