I'm not saying....

....that just because you read the Daily Mail you are right wing, but these inflated stories have got to stop. It made me chortle briefly today in an otherwise mad busy day, and the weather forecast for the camp this weekend heading southwards.

Pow wow at 8pm to decide if the snow clogged roads and frozen hills present too much of a risk for our intrepid Scouts. There were a couple of climbers killed at the weekend and a Scout has been killed this year in a separate avalanche incident. I'll be gutted if we have to cancel because I've got a great programme drawn up, but we have to think safety first.

Edit Friday: Bum, camp is off. The A9 route is closed in 3 places due to heavy and drifting snow and a 'high risk of avalanche' warning has been served on our destination.
