The Cuckmere river

One of the three main rivers in East Sussex is the Cuckmere, rising in mid sussex and joining the English channel at Cuckmere haven .
A powerful flowing river it is now used as a source of the water supply for the Hailsham area,extracted at Arlington ,above Alfriston ,purified and then pumped to households over a large area.
