sunshine followed early morning mist, and brought the colours to life. We took a walk around the gardens and park at Holker Hall. Em running ahead of us eager to know what was around the next corner, at the top of the hill, behind the clipped hedges. Her joy at exploring the gardens and her curiosity were infectious. She was particularly taken with the 'big orange tree' plonking herself beneath it, building a nest of fallen leaves, crowning herself with handfuls.
