Jammed tight

A beautiful day today and we went south to Rosslare. Had a picnic on the beach. This is mid October for goodness sake! The weather isn't supposed to be like this.
As a reminder that it isn't always balmy and sunny, I made this photo along with quite a few more in and around the same subject. In the fury of winter gales these small rocks have been driven so hard up the beach that they have become jammed in between the timbers of the groynes. I suspect you would need a sledgehammer to remove them.
