Cheese reception

It was like a caricature of the 1980s--an end-of-conference wine and cheese reception (the cheese had a sign beside it that said 'imported cheese'--ooh-la-la!) in a hideously lit gym/theatre/space/room affair. But then it turned out that there was no wine. I felt bad for the organiser--in every other respect the conference was great.
