a return

the burn line

there are four seasons to our blueberry landscape:

the first is sweeps of green as new leaves emerge. (6/24)
the second is picking season as trucks carrying bright crates bring the crop to the processing plants (8/10)
the third is sweeps of red and orange as the blueberry leaves turn. (10/7)
finally there is burn season, when large trucks spewing flames pace the fields. (10/12)

the landscape will remain charred through the winter until spring leaves begin to bud.
i'm sure at some point i will blip the fields in winter. until then - i'm blipping the edge of the burn line.
