Life is full of surprises

'Oh my god what do you eat out there - rice?' is a question I often get asked about life in Cambodia.

Well, the answer is that my diet here is far more indulgent than in the UK and I can regularly stop off for a casual salmon salad, pumpkin muffin and passionfruit smoothie on my way home.

Nothing beats the friend's dad who once asked me when I was working in Africa 'do they have roads?' Yes, yes they do. Thousands and thousands of kilometres of roads.
