Towering Chimney

This is the mighty chimney that prominently towers above the former Dunlopillo site near Harrogate.
It is a familiar sight to locals and to users of the adjacent railway station in Pannal, although not held in any great affection.
Some years ago it was the centre of local controversy due to the rather unpleasant fumes being emitted from it. The chimney is now unused and will probably be demolished before too long if plans to redevelop the site go through.
