Flooded island

Torrential rain again this morning. More flooding, roads closed and many angry pedestrians being soaked by inconsiderate drivers! When it wasn't raining, it was full on grey, dull, autumnal and yuck! So when I saw these flowers for sale on the roadside, I was immediately cheered up by their bright colours. Is it too early to start hoping for spring?
