Keep the home fires burning

The Autumn that showed its face last week has returned with vengeance today.
Along with the dip in temperature has come the wind and the rain. Those crisp pretty fallen leaves are now a soggy mush. All this has prompted the fire being lit. The central heating is still in reserve (though I have checked & adjusted the pressure in the boiler in anticipation). I shall resist as long as I can.
